Last week they beat Blackburn 2-1 thanks to a brace from Jones. The Black Cats won even after Gael Givet's early strike had given the Rovers a 1-0 lead. Its early days yet, but Sunderland find themselves in the top six of the table, a position that should give their fans as well as manager huge satisfaction.
