On the other hand manager Steve Bruce may prove to be one of the best signings for Sunderland notwithstanding the quality of players he can attract to the Stadium of Light.

Bruce has been very active on the transfer market signing up Lee Cattermole, Darren Bent and Lorik Cana. Bruce is also in the market for Mourane Chamakh.

Last season this fixture ended in a 0-0 draw; a result that might not please either team this Saturday.
